Our Team provides evidence-based care for hypermobility and EDS, delivering personalised treatment for pain, instability, and complex movement challenges.
We take the time to understand your symptoms, movement patterns and goals before developing a personalised treatment plan. Your program focuses on building strength, improving joint control and increasing long-term function.
Hypermobility means your joints move beyond the typical range, and many people experience no symptoms at all. Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder (HSD) occurs when that extra flexibility is accompanied by pain, joint instability, fatigue or recurring injuries. Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS) is a hereditary connective tissue disorder that affects not only the joints but also tissues throughout the body. While the diagnosis may differ, both HSD and hEDS benefit from a similar, personalised physiotherapy approach focused on improving strength, stability and function.
For people living with hereditary connective tissue disorders, diagnostic delay is about far more than time.
It can mean repeated medical histories, rejected referrals, unnecessary or duplicated tests, overlooked risks, inappropriate treatment, and years spent trying to help different clinicians understand the full picture of one complex condition.
Including hEDS, HSD and related conditions. Referrals with pathology and echocardiogram results, where available, help streamline assessment and ensure patients receive a clear diagnostic report outlining the findings, clinical criteria, rationale and recommended next steps.

Stretching may ease tightness briefly, but strengthening provides the joint support your body truly needs.
Too much rest weakens muscles, while guided movement builds strength, stability, and long-term function.
Standard exercise programmes often ignore hypermobility, fatigue, and joint instability.
Pain, fatigue, and dizziness have physical causes and deserve assessment, understanding, and evidence-based treatment.
We focus on building strength, stability, and movement control—not endless stretching or simply accepting pain.
Where needed, we coordinate your care with the right specialists to ensure comprehensive, long-term management of hypermobility.

Her assessment work covers cognitive, academic, developmental, social and emotional profiles, including ASD, ADHD and intellectual disability — always translated into clear, practical recommendations families can actually use at home, at school and in the community.
As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, Puja works alongside participants, families, carers and support teams to understand what sits behind behaviours of concern and build strategies that improve quality of life, emotional regulation and independence.

Gayatri Joshi, Professional Bio: Gayatri is a Melbourne-based physiotherapist with a Master of Physiotherapy from Swinburne University of Technology and a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from India, where she began her career as a qualified physiotherapist managing an independent neurological and paediatric caseload.
Since moving to Melbourne, Gayatri has built experience across a broad range of clinical settings including acute orthopaedics and neurology, sports and performing arts physiotherapy, strength-based rehabilitation and MSK private practice. These experiences have shaped her belief that great physiotherapy is as much about listening and understanding a person’s goals as it is about clinical expertise.
Gayatri has a particular interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, chronic pain management and complex rehabilitation. She is drawn to the multidisciplinary model at Kinesis because she believes the best outcomes happen when clinicians think beyond their own discipline and work together around the whole person.
Outside the clinic, Gayatri is an active physiotherapy researcher and co-authored a publication on paediatric developmental milestones in the International Journal of Research and Analytical Reviews. She loves good food, a quiet swim day and unwinding with an intense badminton match and she is always happy to talk about movement, recovery and everything in between.
