At Kinesis™ Healthcare, every 45-minute session is tailored to your needs. Our physiotherapists assess your condition and create a personalised program targeting your goals. What This Program Offers:
Manual therapy involves hands-on techniques, including joint mobilisation, manipulation, and soft tissue therapy, to alleviate pain, enhance mobility, and promote faster recovery. It targets areas of tension, stiffness, or discomfort, helping to restore optimal movement and function.
Who May Benefit:
This therapy is ideal for individuals experiencing joint stiffness, muscle tension, sports injuries, or chronic pain. Whether you’re recovering from an injury, managing postural issues, or dealing with everyday aches, manual therapy can provide relief and improve your overall physical well-being.
At Kinesis™ Healthcare, our highly skilled physiotherapists use evidence-based techniques tailored to your unique needs. We begin with a detailed assessment to identify the underlying cause of your discomfort. Treatment sessions combine manual therapy with targeted exercises to ensure sustained benefits. This dual approach not only addresses immediate symptoms but also prevents future issues.
What This Program Offers:
Dry needling is a targeted therapy designed to alleviate muscle tension, reduce pain, and improve function. By inserting fine needles into specific trigger points, this technique promotes relaxation and restores normal muscle activity, making it an effective treatment for pain relief and rehabilitation.
Who May Benefit:
This therapy is suitable for individuals with chronic muscle tightness, sports injuries, or conditions causing persistent pain. Whether you’re an athlete recovering from strain, managing postural imbalances, or addressing localised discomfort, dry needling can offer significant relief.
At Kinesis™ Healthcare, dry needling is performed by trained physiotherapists with expertise in pain management and musculoskeletal care. We begin with a thorough assessment to determine the underlying causes of your symptoms. Dry needling sessions are integrated with complementary therapies, such as manual therapy and specific exercises, to maximise effectiveness and ensure long-term benefits.
TMJ therapy focuses on relieving pain and discomfort associated with temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction. This includes addressing jaw pain, clicking or popping sounds, restricted movement, and associated symptoms such as headaches or facial tension. The goal is to restore normal jaw function, reduce pain, and improve overall quality of life.
Who May Benefit:
This program is ideal for individuals experiencing TMJ dysfunction, teeth grinding (bruxism), jaw-related headaches, or facial discomfort. It is also beneficial for those with jaw tightness or difficulty with everyday activities such as chewing, speaking, or yawning.
At Kinesis™ Healthcare, we take a comprehensive approach to TMJ therapy. Our experienced physiotherapists assess your condition thoroughly to identify the underlying causes of discomfort. Treatment includes manual therapy to relieve tension, specific exercises to improve jaw mobility and strength, and education to help you manage symptoms and prevent recurrence.
What This Program Offers:
Hydrotherapy utilises water-based exercises in a warm pool to provide a low-impact yet highly effective way to improve strength, mobility, and pain relief. The buoyancy of water reduces stress on joints, making it an ideal environment for safe and comfortable rehabilitation and exercise.
Who May Benefit:
This program is well-suited for individuals with arthritis, chronic pain, post-surgical recovery needs, or those who experience difficulty with weight-bearing exercises. Hydrotherapy is also beneficial for seniors, individuals managing mobility challenges, and anyone seeking a gentle yet effective way to enhance physical function and reduce discomfort.
At Kinesis™ Healthcare, hydrotherapy sessions are conducted by skilled physiotherapists who design individualised exercise plans tailored to your specific needs and goals. Each session is closely supervised to ensure exercises are performed safely and effectively. The warm pool environment promotes relaxation, improves circulation, and allows for targeted muscle activation and joint mobility exercises.

Gayatri Joshi, Professional Bio: Gayatri is a Melbourne-based physiotherapist with a Master of Physiotherapy from Swinburne University of Technology and a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from India, where she began her career as a qualified physiotherapist managing an independent neurological and paediatric caseload.
Since moving to Melbourne, Gayatri has built experience across a broad range of clinical settings including acute orthopaedics and neurology, sports and performing arts physiotherapy, strength-based rehabilitation and MSK private practice. These experiences have shaped her belief that great physiotherapy is as much about listening and understanding a person’s goals as it is about clinical expertise.
Gayatri has a particular interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, chronic pain management and complex rehabilitation. She is drawn to the multidisciplinary model at Kinesis because she believes the best outcomes happen when clinicians think beyond their own discipline and work together around the whole person.
Outside the clinic, Gayatri is an active physiotherapy researcher and co-authored a publication on paediatric developmental milestones in the International Journal of Research and Analytical Reviews. She loves good food, a quiet swim day and unwinding with an intense badminton match and she is always happy to talk about movement, recovery and everything in between.
